The End of the War, Litoměřice in 1945

This master's thesis focuses on year 1945 and events in Litoměřice town. Especially events in the town itself in spring the same year, upcoming revolt in the nearby village Žitenice, situation both the German and the Czech population, their reaction to the forthcomig end of the war and last efforts of occupiers to hold the town. There will be briefly mentioned also the history of the Nazi occupation of Litoměřice. Special attention will be paid to the concentration camp Litoměřice. Here I will build on my previous barchelor thesis, in which I mentioned the liberation of the concentration camp in one chapter. I will complete and extend aforementioned events. Attention will be paid, among other things, also to the way how the end of the war enrolled to lives of prisoners themselves. I will try to reconstruct all from archival materials and literature and mainly from memories of civilians and prisoners of the concentration camp in a similar way as in my previous bachelor thesis.

This Bachelor thesis deals with translation of text excerpted from a German book called Stille Hilfe für braune Kameraden (Silent assistance for brown comrades). The subject of translation is chapter named Der Fall Anton Malloth (The Case Anton Malloth). The thesis focuses not only on the translation, but also on the description of the translation process itself. The translated text forms about half of the thesis. The second part consists of commentary consisting of source text analysis and typology of translation issues that the translator was confronted with.

The bachelor thesis deals with the cooperation of Adolf Hitler and financial capital before its accession to power in 1933. Thesis is divided into six main parts. The aim of my thesis is description and analysis of the financial capital of Adolf Hitler and the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP).My dissertation also presents Hitler's life from his school years till his entry into the National Socialist German Workers Party. The main attention is paid to representatives of major national corporations from Germany and abroad.
